TEP Long-Range Data Transmission Tracking Antenna

Tracking antennas are systems that track the location of UAS. It uses drone position information to accurately position the antenna in the UAV direction. These kind of systems highly increases the signal range being suitable for its use in telemetry communications and for video links, thus drastically increasing the range of operation from the ground control station (GCS).

Compared to omnidirectional ones, directional antennas have significantly higher gains. The downside is that the radiation angle of a directional antenna is reduced just to couple of degrees. When aiming to operate over long distances it is necessary to have a precision tracking system. Tracking antennas or tracker systems permit to install directional antennas allowing establishing long-range communications with UAS while minimizing interferences from of other signals.

TEP Tracker is compatible with different kind of antennas, such as: parabolic, patch, grid, and others.  Our system is completely portable and can be set up on a tripod or on the roof of a car. TEP tracking antenna can be assembled and deployed in less than 5 min. It is completely collapsible.

Our tracking systems are fully compatible with TEP FCC units in order to get an accurate tracking of moving objects and geo position. This Plug and Play system improves system performance with the embedded tracking module. The drone sends its position to the GCS with a high degree of accuracy, so it can command the tracking antenna.
